The most exciting aspect of teaching is our ability to transform lives and see them blossom under our care.
We have them all in our class the good, the smart, the average and the challenged. And we are expected to make something positive out of them all.
Believe me the workload is immeasurable. It tests us to the core. In a way it defines our game.
Below is my interpretation of the the statement YOU'RE AS STRONG AS THE WEAKEST STUDENT IN YOUR CLASS.
Jesus in the parable of the lost sheep describes a scenario where a Shepherd leaves 99 sheep in search of one. And when that one is found, there is more rejoicing heaven over that lost one than the 99 good to go sheep.
I guess this summarizes the point up there. I think our teaching business is a thing of the heart. Our ability to carry every one along must never be in question.
The smart ones may need little or no encouragement. But we can't say same of the challenged ones.
When a smart lad or lass scores 98/100, it is expected in a way but when a challenged child after intense effort scores 70/100 it gives satisfaction of the highest value.
We don't put in same amount of effort to both classes of students. Actually the challenged ones test our mettle and resolve as professionals. That's my take.
WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF IT?
